Find a Good Doctor

Friday, September 30, 2011

My father’s doctor is with him, since he was newly wedded with my mother. I have learned this a few days ago when I sent the x-ray result of my father. The doctor is now old, and he has a daughter who is a doctor too. He told me, that in case he will die first before my father; his daughter will take charge all the records of my father. Honestly, I wanted to laugh, and I wanted to ask if he is serious, because he is a doctor, and it is my father who is sick, but it seems that he is sick as well. Luckily, I was able to hold my laughter.

Anyway, a good doctor can help you live longer. If this is true, then it follows that a not-so-good doctor may shorten your life. Ha ha! To make safe, get only Board-certified doctors. Ask around about doctor’s reputation and prescribing habits. Are his prescriptions effective, affordable and tailored for your medical conditions?

Look for a good doctors and stick to them for life. Having too many doctors can lead to confusion and too many conflicting medicines. Your doctor’s job is to guide you on your check-ups (laboratories, vaccines, cancer screening) and help you decide on your treatment plans.
